In celebration of the
Anniversary of 25 years of the Baker Museum in Naples Florida
Lothar Nickel was invited by the Friends of Art
at Artis-Naples as Artist in Residence to do an on-site sculpture carving.
He created a fantasy animal, inspired by the Florida environs,
and to the delight of young and old:
a „Snuffelgator“.

Eight children , ages 8-13, enthusiastically executed their own
fantasy animals from the offcuts of the Schnuffel block:
butterflies, dinosaurs, turtles and snails.
